Kelly Raske: Executive Director
Kelly Raske has always had an interest in all facets of senior living, creating and developing memory care programming and selling exceptional senior living for over 15 years. Kelly has established herself as a leader in the industry and has become a resource to many seniors looking for housing options. All her communities have won awards for being the top leaders in the nation in senior housing. Her goal is to build a team rich with kind and creative leaders striving for excellence in senior lifestyle communities. Offering the most informative and the latest available resources for all seniors to enjoy the benefits of living at The Grand at Twin Lakes is important to Kelly!
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs and reading a great new book! She also cherishes time spent with her 89-year-old grandmother, with whom she has a close relationship.
Judy Nordschow: Director of Sales & Marketing
Gary Chang: Director of Dining Services
Gary started his cooking career at a very young age of 6 years old. It started when he was visiting his Aunt Judy. Gary started helping in the kitchen with his aunt learning how to make Ravioli’s, traditional gravy. At the age of 12 Gary was able to manage a Hot dog and Gyros stand in the western suburbs. After 3 years of running a hot dog stand Gary decided to start working in a professional Kitchen in Oakbrook Illinois. After 2 years Gary decided to try working in Research and Development for food. To this day his credits include working for General mills, Kraft foods, and Archway cookies.
Gary was lured back to the restaurant from friends opening a new restaurant after working in the kitchen, Gary wanted to help develop the menu and have an input on what was on the menu. After opening restaurants Gary decided to learn fine dining cooking so he took a position at country clubs and hotels gaining the second chef position. After meeting his mentor Charles Weber at Riva Navy Pier/ Naperville. Gary was ask to join Charles in Napa, California as his sous chef. Gary was recruited into senior living from someone that managed a senior living community. Since working with seniors, Gary has found a real passion for changing the way senior living was preparing food and bring a higher expectation for food quality. On his days off he enjoys Golf and Martial Arts and volunteering at the animal shelter.
Caroline Hempleman: Life Enrichment Manager
As the Life Enrichment Manager, Caroline is responsible for planning and executing all the events and activities at The Grand. The Life Enrichment office focuses on creating Purpose Driven Programming for our residents and community. Caroline comes to us with a background in anthropology and religion and has a passion for finding the intersection of where worldview meets health and wellbeing. She believes the key to staying healthy is being active and involved, so she loves getting to work hands on with the residents to do that each day.
Outside of her work at The Grand, Caroline enjoys being with her family and friends, and spending time outside in nature. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing and reading, ideally from the comfort of a hammock.
Gerald Raap: Maintenance Supervisor
Jerry has always had a special respect for older adults; he took care of his grandfather who was given one month to live, but who lived on 7 years under his care.
His expertise is in remodeling, plumbing, building engineering, and roofs. Jerry brought his 40+ years of experience to the senior living industry three years ago.
When not at The Grand, Jerry is picking up extra shifts at another senior living community and cares for his 93-year-old mom each morning and evening. He is most proud of raising his two kids on his own, who are two professional adults today.
